Career Services Office

The ICS Career Services Office has been very successful in past years, and a large percentage of our graduates, including both Japanese and non-Japanese students, receive job offers from their company of choice.
We provide all incoming non-sponsored students with one-on-one counseling to help them recognize their career development needs during their first month of studies. Taking into consideration the demand for Japanese language fluency in the work environment, however, non-Japanese students who include Japan as one of their locations for job searches, may need to acquire some knowledge of Japanese language skills before coming to ICS, since these skills may offer a better chance for students to receive job offers from their company of choice.
At the beginning of the year, we offer resume writing sessions that provide step-by-step instructions for completing a resume, as well as a complementary job application letter. Career guidance sessions are also held, which include a series of workshops for career design and presentation skills to help students gain skills for self-promotion that are important in their career development after ICS. Throughout their studies, students are also able to attend on-campus presentations by HR directors and executive search consultants from Japan's leading companies and organizations.
