The Korea Times features Prof. Ken Kusunoki's case study

The Korea Times recently featured a case study by Prof. Ken Kusunoki on video game industry giant, Nintendo, to illustrate how a company can use “category innovation” to effectively differentiate itself in an already crowded market.

Prof. Kusunoki is the author of Amazon Japan best-seller, Competitive Strategy as a Narrative Story (ストーリーとしての競争戦略:優れた戦略の条件), published by Toyo Keizai. This book, written in Japanese, explains competitive strategy from a unique perspective that attributes the essence of strategy to narrative consistency. Examples of companies throughout the book that deployed this narrative strategy include top brands such as Starbucks, Dell, and Amazon, as well as companies closer to home: Recruit, Rakuten, Askul, and Gulliver International.
