Mr. Yasu Hatakeyama was a special guest speaker in the Corporate Finance course in late December 2011. Mr. Hatakeyama is a leading M&A investment banker in the Japanese market with over 20 years of deal experience, including 16 years in New York where he rose to become a partner and managing director of the parent company.

Mr. Hatakeyama, in his 5th year as guest speaker, described vivid real-life transactions that demonstrated the role of financial advisors in framing, valuing, and negotiating significant mergers, acquisitions, and strategic alliances. Students heard the “stories behind the headlines."

Corporate Finance is a required, 4-credit, MBA foundation course taught by Professor Sherman Abe.
