Since the program’s founding in 2000, Hitotsubashi ICS has graduated about 500 students from around the world. Hitotsubashi ICS’s small annual student body encourages the building of strong ties and a sustainable network, regardless of geographical location, that continues long after our students' graduation.
The ICS Alumni Association (ICSAA)
This site offer a virtual "ba" (the Japanese term used by Knowledge Management guru and Hitotsubashi ICS Professor-Emeritus Ikujiro Nonaka to refer to a shared space for emerging relationships) for Hitotsubashi ICS alumni to stay connected and be updated on what is happening at ICS and with other alumni. Alums can post news and career opportunities, initiate ad hoc events, update their profiles, reconnect with an old learning teammate, and are kept updated on all things ICS, including information on reunions, networking, and special events.
Membership
ICSAA is open to all graduates of Hitotsubashi ICS. Alumni who are on Facebook can also apply to join the ICSAA closed group on Facebook. Read-only membership is open to current MBA and DBA candidates to tap into one of the largest network resources at Hitotsubashi ICS that is available to them.
Official Events
In addition to frequent networking events that are held in Tokyo and those organized by the local ICSAA around the world, the association holds a yearly "Alumni Day" event where alumni and their families get together in Tokyo for a day of fun events. Students currently enrolled at Hitotsubashi ICS, its faculty and staff, and their families are also invited to Alumni Day.
Josui Kai
Graduates of Hitotsubashi ICS also have the privilege to become a member of Josui Kai, the alumni association of the greater Hitotsubashi University. Josui Kai traces its history back to 1889. Today, it boasts of a membership in the tens of thousands, including many of Japan's most influential business leaders.
Among the many Josui Kai benefits, members are entitled to participate in Josui Kai networking events, conferences and seminars at no cost or a nominal member rate, and have access to the directory list of all Hitotsubashi University graduates. Members also have the privilege to use member-only facilities at the Josui Kaikan, the Hitotsubashi University alumni building located right next to the Hitotsubashi ICS campus, and to dine at discounted rates at its restaurants.
